We arrived in Baan-Tony after a turbulent week in Bangkok and Koh Phangan. After the Full Moon Party, it was very nice to relax and chill at the pool. The speaker set across the site that you can easily connect to your iPod or Smartphone produced songs from Bob Marley throughout the day and nice house music during the evening. After two days of chilling we had enough energy again and now it was time to explore the town of Hua Hin. We thought that there was not that much to do, but the nightlife in Hua Hin is surprisingly fun!

There are many bars and if you want haven’t had enough after the bars close you can go to the karaoke bars or clubs which are open until 6 o’clock in the morning. The beautiful thing is that all these bars are very close to the beach so if you want you could also drink here. All in all, it was a top week where we could recharge ourselves, and we had a very good time!

After a luxury flight with KLM, our family lands with 2 children (17 and 19 years) at Bangkok Airport. Even though I am an experienced tour guide, I had to get used to driving a car from Bangkok to Hua Hin by myself. A few hours later, using the excellent directions from Toon, we arrived in Baan Tony. What a tranquility, what a luxury and romance. The warm welcome from Pitrie, the boss of the house, is typically Thai. The beautiful swimming pool with our rooms and beautiful garden surrounding it, is a wonderful place for the coming days.

Baan Tony: An oasis in Hua Hin.

After several "tropical years" on multiple fronts I needed a 10-day retreat. Get to rest and get inspiration in a totally different culture and world. Upon invitation from my good friend Toon, I could take a nice suite on Baan Tony. Of course, for payment, but the costs you make there are 'peanuts' compared to other places. Toon was there in that period too. Many seen and experienced: a trip on the back of an elephant, mountain biking through the area, a wonderful golf day on the most beautiful golf course I have ever seen: Black Mountain. But also, time to sit alone at the pool, read a bit while the lunch was made by the boss of the house, which also made fresh fruit juices in the morning and made sure that the beers were cold in the evening. I'm definitely going back to Baan Tony again, and then with the kids!

Rating: 10+!

At last the time had come: together with my two sons to Thailand. Summer 2010. I was pretty excited since it was the first time to visiting Asia for us. Flying to Bangkok went very well. At Bangkok Airport, Meeting Point two already had a taxi driver with a sign Baan Tony in his hand. We slept the whole taxi journey from Bangkok to Hua Hin. Upon arriving we recognized the house and the garden directly from the pictures. Beautiful. A nice cup of coffee was ready for us. The boys put on their swimsuit and directly jumped into the swimming pool. We enjoyed the lovely house, swimming pool and good care of the boss off the house all week.
